Overview
A wide range of chemicals are used extensively in the desalination and water treatment business.
Substances used are either of two main groups:
Online
‘Online’ chemicals, including coagulants, flocculants, chlorination and de-chlorination agents and biocides.
Offline
‘Offline’chemicals that include a large number of somewhat stronger chemicals for a variety of purposes such as dissolving the foulants to the filtration membranes during operation.
Desalination Antiscalant shows excellent control of scaling as well as provide effective control over fouling. Its regular usage also ensures reduced cleaning frequency and thorough cleaning. Desalination antiscalants come with corrosion inhibitors that protect the system metal. Dispersants ensure no re-deposition of removed scales/ deposits.
Thermal Desalination Antiscalant
Desalination chemicals adjust pH, control scale, remove particulates, prevent biological fouling, clean and re-mineralize the highly purified product streams. Thermal Desalination, which essentially involves distillation of clean water from salts and other contaminants, is energy intensive, but relies on low-grade heat for much of the duty, reducing the energy cost. RO membrane processes consume less energy, but use electricity, which is more expensive. The membranes are also expensive, but are long lasting. RO membranes are semi-permeable. They allow water molecules under high pressure to pass through but repel salts and other dissolved and suspended particles. Desalination Chemical is effective against alkaline scale formation across the full range of top brine temperature (TBT) in use today. It reduces cleaning frequency and associated costs while maintaining the economy ratio of the plant for extended periods of time. It is compatible with chlorine and other oxidizing agents and exhibits excellent thermal stability.

RO Desalination Antiscalant
